Application for Admission to RN-BSN program ()

The application process can be completed on line during
the following time frames:

  • Fall Admission Applications: April 1 - July 1

Welcome to the UND College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines Online Application System. This Online Application system is to help future students apply to the Department of Nursing.


Before starting your application you will need the following:
  • Admission to UND - You must be admitted to UND by July 1.
  • Official transcripts sent / requested to UND undergraduate admissions office for ALL previous coursework outside of UND.
  • Have the following courses completed with a grade of "C" or better:
    • English Composition I
    • English Composition II or Technical and Business Writing
    • Introduction to Psychology
    • Introduction to Sociology or Cultural Anthropology or Social Problems
    • Developmental Psychology
    • Anatomy and Anatomy Lab
    • Physiology
    • Microbiology (equivalent to UND’s Mbio 202/202L)
    • Fundamentals of Nutrition
    • Statistics course
    • Pharmacology (equivalent to UND’s PPT 315)
  • Overall GPA (including transfer work) and UND GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Have your personal information available.
  • A valid UND student id number is required.
  • You will need access to your academic record in order to complete this application.
NOTE: Please contact UND Department of Nursing Office of Student Services if you have any questions about the requirements above. Course syllabi may be required for evaluation of transfer credits.
If you are not a Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota resident. YOU MUST SECURE APPROVAL FROM THE STATE BOARD OF NURSING IN YOUR STATE. Click here to obtain the approval form. This must be completed and returned by time of application in order to ensure your state will allow student clinical placement.
     The procedure for application to the UND Department of Nursing is based upon policies established by the College and in accordance with University regulations.      An application will be considered qualified only if all the minimum requirements have been met. Submission of the application does not guarantee admission to the Department of Nursing. The best qualified applicants who meet all requirements are selected based on specified criteria. Application to the UND Department of Nursing does NOT constitute application to the University of North Dakota . If not already admitted to the University, the student must seek admission through the University Admission Office by the posted deadlines, PO Box 8357 , phone (701) 777-3821. Prospective students are encouraged to contact the College of Nursing for details.
