- Case Management Under the direction of faculty, nursing students make home visits, provide nursing care, and coordinate services for expectant families and people of all ages who experience chronic health problems.
- Health Education Nursing students and faculty provide educational sessions on a wide variety of topics for groups in the community. Sample topics include personal health care, contagious diseases, prevention of illness, and Alzheimer's disease; sample audiences are schools, businesses, service clubs, and senior groups.
- Health Screening nursing students and faculty provide health screening services for groups. Screenings include, but are not limited to hearing, vision, blood pressure, random blood sugar, hemoglobin, health risk appraisals, foot inspections for people with diabetes, and child development.
- Expert Nurse Consultation Faculty and graduate nursing students are also available to provide case-centered and program-centered consultation for individuals and agencies.
- The Nursing Center, in conjunction with the UND Fetal Alcohol Center based at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, is an active member of the Four State FAS Consortium team working under a cooperative Agreement with the federal Center for Substance Abuse and Prevention (CSAP) to research effective data systems development and intervention strategies for lessening and preventing FAS/E in the four-state area of ND, SD, MT, and MN.
