ONLINE PROGRAM!

The College of Nursing now offers its Psychiatric and Mental Health (PMH) graduate nursing program via distance delivery. Students are online for the entire program, with the exception of up to one week per year in the fall when they will gather at the University of North Dakota campus.

The Psychiatric and Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist's (PMH-CNS) course of study consists of 57-62 credit hours while the Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP) program has 56-61 required credits. Students may enroll full or part-time and Post-Master's certificate programs are also available. Upon completion of their chosen track, students are eligible to sit for certification exams in adult PMH-CNS, adult PMH-NP, or both of these certifications.

DISCLAIMER NOTE: The curriculum within the Psychiatric and Mental Health CNS/NP specialization is subject to change based on American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), and National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS) certification requirements. In particular, if the certification requirements change, curriculum/course alterations may need to be implemented.
