Undergraduate course in College Algebra (UND math placement testing may be used to waive this requirement).
A minimum GPA of 3.00 is based on all years of study at the undergraduate level and includes a GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate science coursework.
Current RN license and resume (submit copy with application form).
A minimum of one year full-time experience (two or more years preferred) as a registered nurse in a critical care setting. Desired settings would include medical, surgical, cardiovascular, neurologic, or trauma intensive care units and primarily care for the adult population.
An upper division Biochemistry course (UND Biochem 301 or its equivalent). This course is in addition to chemistry courses taken as part of generic BSN program. Acceptable biochemistry courses include North Dakota State University Biochemistry 260, University of New England (online - preferred distance learning option at http://distance.une.edu ).
Successful interview by the Admissions Committee.
Students may enroll in graduate course work prior to formal admission to the graduate program. Subject to the approval of the Department and the Dean of the Graduate School, a maximum of nine (9) semester credits taken as a graduate Non-Degree student may subsequently be counted toward a graduate degree subject to all other regulations.
