Documentation of current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) & CPR certification are required upon admission to the Nursing Program. Effective for fall 2008 admissions and later, students will also need to submit proof of completion of a CNA course. The nursing curriculum is sequenced to build over five semesters. Careful attention should be paid to pre- and co-requisites. Each Nursing semester must be completed entirely before progressing. Non-nursing courses may be taken ahead of schedule if possible. A total of 129 semester credits are required for graduation including 62 Nursing, 9 Arts/Humanities in two departments, 9 Communication, a 3 credit World Culture course, and approximately 2 elective credits. See UND catalog for General Education Requirements (GER).
The College of Nursing admits students to start Nursing classes each Fall & Spring semester. All required Nursing courses are offered each Fall & Spring. |
