1960's

Kathleen Bohlken, ’66 BS, is currently the owner of her own interior design firm, Kathleen Bohlken Interior Design. She will be featured in an upcoming article in “Better Homes & Gardens” this spring or summer, as well as an upcoming publication of “Spectacular Homes in the Pacific Northwest” featuring fifty northwest designers. Kathleen currently resides in Issaquah, Washington.

1970's

Charlotte Burke, ’75 BS and ’90 MS General Studies, is currently the manager of the division of Health Promotion and Outreach at Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department. Charlotte is also a board member of the high plains division of the American Cancer Society. She and her husband Ron reside in Lincoln, NE.

1990's

Brenda (Thiel) Hanson, ’90 BS Home Economics: Community Nutrition is a Physician’s Assistant at Altru Health System. She continues to keep up her RD credentials and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies through UND. Rita Gilliam, ’95 BS Dietetics, is currently a dietitian at Missouri River Manor LTC and Rehab Facility. After narrowly escaping hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Rita and her family have settled into Great Falls, MT, and she says they are very glad to be back up north! Her husband John is close to retirement from the US Air Force, and they have two beautiful daughters—Sydney (almost 10) and Cassidy (18 months). Within the past 2 years, Rita has been diagnosed with 2 different cancers—thyroid and breast cancer. She has received treatment for the thyroid cancer, and is currently undergoing treatment for the breast cancer. She hopes to make a full recovery and wishes to acknowledge the fact that a person is never too young to get cancer (she thought she was), and no matter what your age, don’t neglect monthly exams. Paula K. Rudser-Stolba, ’95 FACS-Dietetics, is currently enrolled in a program called Transition to Teaching where she hopes to achieve a FACS Education degree. After graduation, Paula worked in Mason City, IA as a WIC dietitian for over eight years. After getting married in January 2004, she moved back to her hometown of Minot. Paula says she is happy to be back in North Dakota with familiar places and friendly faces. “Thanks UND for an excellent education! A special thanks and hello to Jan Goodwin.”

Laura (Serfert) Vogt, ’97 BS Nutrition and Dietetics, is currently employed as a clinical dietician by Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington where she implements nutrition programs in a new Transitional Care Unit. Jennifer (Borgen) Goetz, ’00 BS Dietetics & Psychology, is a clinical and consulting dietitian at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, Sioux City, IA. Jerilyn (Barney) Wass, ’03 BSD, just recently started her own consulting business with great success. She provides services for 4 long-term care facilities and 2 group home agencies. She also became a Certified Personal Trainer and hopes to begin working in this area with that as well.
